Recognising a company’s key business needs defines operational goals

A professionally designed SharePoint site keeps a large construction company from suffering disruptive operational issues.

A Trident customer for over 12 years called on us for advice after being dogged with the inability to centrally manage shared template documents. Its 40 users were accessing and saving multiple copies locally or on the server and not having the latest version available. As a result, operations were being seriously affected and far too much time was being wasted.

To begin the engagement process, we met with all the key members of staff and looked closely at the company’s most vital operational requirements in conjunction with the needs of the business. Trident suggested the implementation of Office 365 services and SharePoint Online to act as a central place for all remote, mobile and office users to access the required data.

The company found the Office 365 demonstration particularly beneficial and were surprised by the possibilities of the product.

Our SharePoint solution was designed, in collaboration with the client, to fulfill all requirements and included training to allow the customer to administer the site. Primarily, this is covering their HR and Marketing departments with the long term plan of implementation throughout the company.

The customer says:

  • With Trident's help, we found a solution to our ongoing issue of staff not being able to access company data safely whilst offsite, SharePoint online offered a solution to this. Trident's installation and training was excellent and our company is now looking forward to taking advantage of a professional SharePoint site.
