Supporting Rockinghorse

Trident keeps Rockinghorse Children’s Charity IT on track with free support, new devices and Office 365 Migration

Supporting charity is a priority at Trident and 2013 has seen us ramp up our commitment further.

We’re delighted to announce we are donating free IT support and equipment to one of our favourite causes, the Brighton-based Rockinghorse Children’s Charity. A client of Trident since 1997, Rockinghorse seeks to help sick children across Sussex, supporting the Royal Alexandra Children’s Hospital and Trevor Mann Baby Unit by raising money for life-saving medical equipment and better treatment environments.

As part of our efforts, we are donating free managed IT support to the charity on an ongoing basis, helping to keep its IT systems up and running smoothly and efficiently. We have overseen Rockinghorse’s migration from Microsoft Small Business Server to Office 365, Microsoft’s cloud-hosted service, making the charity’s headquarters serverless. Our support has also extended to replacing the organisation’s legacy PCs with free new versions, thereby bringing their IT hardware bang up-to-date.

  • It’s no secret that charities have had a rough ride in recent years. At Rockinghorse we’ve managed to maintain the commitment to our cause through the wonderful generosity of our business partners such as Trident. Unlike many other charities Rockinghorse receives £0 from local / central government, so partnerships such as this ensure that any IT costs that the charity may have incurred have been completely eradicated and every penny of that can go straight to our fundraising projects at the Royal Alexandra Children’s Hospital, the Trevor Mann Baby Unit, the Special Care Baby Unit in Haywards Heath and many other vital children’s services across Sussex. If other businesses followed Trident’s lead, the positive impact on the third sector would be huge.
